In addition, it aims at bringing together linguists and computer scientists.<br \/>\nThe conference will include a general and a thematic session.<br \/>\nThe <strong>thematic special session<\/strong> of the 32nd International Conference on Lexis and Grammar is dedicated to Adjectives. The subject domain includes:<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Morphological and lexical analysis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>adjectives in compounds<\/li>\n<li>derivational morphology (affixes)<\/li>\n<li>adjective transcategorization without formal derivation mark (beautiful -&gt; the beautiful)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Syntactic analysis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>word order: anteposition vs. postposition of adjectives to nouns<\/li>\n<li>adjective agreement<\/li>\n<li>adjectives without a predicate\/argument structure vs. attributive adjectives with a predicate\/argument structure<\/li>\n<li>adjective valence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Semantic and pragmatic analysis<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal; line-height: 24px;\">adjective polysemy<\/span><\/li>\n<li>adjectives and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>intensional adjectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">The <strong>general session<\/strong> is dedicated to the traditional topics of the conference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>predicate-argument structures<\/li>\n<li>interface between lexis and grammar<\/li>\n<li>exploitation of language resources (including manually constructed lexicons and grammars) for language processing (including information retrieval, information extraction, parsing)<\/li>\n<li>language resources concerning lexis or grammar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">The conference languages are English and French.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Keynote speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Important dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif; font-style: normal;\">Submission deadline: <del>May 22<\/del>\u00a0June 9 (Sunday)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif; font-style: normal;\">Notification of acceptance: <del>June 22<\/del>\u00a0July 25 (Thursday)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif; font-style: normal;\">Final version:\u00a0August 20 (Tuesday)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif; font-style: normal;\">Conference: from September 10 (Tuesday) to September 14 (Saturday), 2013<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">The proceedings, issued after the conference, will be published in French and English.
